Nanny/Housekeeper

Location : Chelsea, Manhattan, NY

Start Date: Mid-to-Late July 2026

Live-In Accommodations: This is a hybrid live-in position. The candidate will reside with the family during their scheduled workweek, while traveling, and during extended stays in Connecticut. Private accommodations will be provided during all live-in periods.

Schedule & Travel:  Monday - Thursday: 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM,  Friday: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM,  Three mornings per week: 6:30 AM - 9:00 AM, a pproximately 5.5 hours per week dedicated to walking the family dog and running household errands

The family spends July and August primarily at their home in Kent, Connecticut, and travels there approximately every other weekend during the school year. Additional travel includes approximately three weeks annually in South Carolina. Candidates should enjoy travel and be comfortable accompanying the family on these trips. During travel periods and extended stays in Connecticut, schedule flexibility may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:  $30-$35 per hour,  two weeks of paid time off, p aid major holidays,  hybrid live-in accommodations provided during the workweek & family travel, all travel expenses covered when accompanying the family

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for three children, ages 11, 7, & 4 (all of whom will be in school full-time beginning in September.)
• Assist with daily routines, school preparation, homework, and after-school activities
• Drive children to and from school, extracurricular activities, appointments, playdates, and events
• Create a safe, nurturing, engaging, and organized environment
• Travel with the family and provide childcare support as needed

• Assist with managing family schedules, calendars, appointments, and logistics
• Coordinate household operations and day-to-day tasks
• Place online orders, coordinate deliveries, unpack packages, and put away purchases
• Maintain household inventory, including groceries, toiletries, and household supplies
• Coordinate with household vendors, service providers, and contractors as needed
• Utilize household management technology and scheduling tools, including Skylight

• Prepare breakfast on scheduled morning shifts and assist with dinner preparation during afternoon/evening shifts
• Handle family laundry, including proper care of delicate garments and coordinating dry cleaning (Family employs a housekeeper for deep cleaning)
• Maintain organization throughout the home between housekeeping visits
• Assist with household organization projects and implement efficient systems
• Run errands and complete household-related tasks as needed

• Walk, feed, and provide general care for the family’s dog (1 year old doodle mix) 

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Nanny, Family Assistant, Nanny/Housekeeper, or similar role within a private household
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Comfortable driving children regularly in New York and Connecticut
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using scheduling platforms, apps, and household management systems
• Excellent communication skills, discretion, and professionalism
• Comfortable working collaboratively alongside existing household staff
• Pet-friendly and willing to assist with dog care
• Comfortable traveling domestically with the family
• Able to adapt to changing family needs and schedules when necessary
