A mission-driven company with a real story to tellCreative ownership from day oneA chance to shape the future of food, one post at a timeKey ResponsibilitiesPhotography & VideographyShoot and style photos and short-form video of produce, prepared foods, events, farm visits, and behind-the-scenes momentsEdit and deliver polished assets for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other digital channelsCapture real-time content at company events and activationsOrganize and upload assets to shared folders for team accessSocial MediaCreate content across Midwest Foods' social channels (primarily Instagram and LinkedIn)Write captions and short-form copy that fit the brand voice and seasonal prioritiesBuild and maintain a social content calendarHandle community engagement and real-time coverage at eventsCreative & Strategic CollaborationWork with the marketing team on shot lists, content direction, and campaign themesDesign simple social graphics using Canva or similar toolsContribute ideas during content planning and brainstorm sessionsGain visibility into how social content connects to broader marketing strategy, seasonal priorities, and sales initiativesCollaborate across marketing, sales, and operations teams to understand the full foodservice ecosystemWhat We’re Looking For1-3 years of experience in content creation, social media, photography, or a related field (freelance, agency, brand-side, all count)Strong photography skills; videography and short-form video editing experience strongly preferredProven ability to create content that performs on Instagram and LinkedInComfortable with editing tools such as Lightroom, Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or equivalentStrong writing skills for short-form copy and captionsOrganized and self-directed; able to manage a calendar and meet deadlines without hand-holdingCanva familiarity a plus; Adobe Creative Suite experience welcomeReliable transportation required; access to a personal vehicle recommended, as this role requires travel to events and activations throughout Chicagoland and occasionally to our Kenosha, WI locationPortfolio or examples of past work required with your applicationWhat We Offer:Competitive pay with flexible, part-time schedulingDirect collaboration with the Director of Marketing & PRCreative ownership over a real brand with a genuine story to tellExposure to foodservice, sustainability, and hospitality storytellingSound like your kind of gig?
