Freight Coordinator

Freight Coordinator – Spring Hill, TN (Job Id: 1553) – Department: Purchasing Main Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate cost effective freight and competitive rates through RFQs; Track and manage damage claims with third party carriers; Able to communicate effectively, working across multiple departments and platforms; Ability to coordinate freight schedules for efficient operations; Develop strong relationships with vendors and carriers; Ensure freight carriers deliver on‑time, at scheduled times, communicating ETA’s to internal customers and teams; Follow and enforce cGMP guidelines and processes as established in department SOPs; Create reports in approach systems as needed by other departments; Ensure accurate freight and communicate with vendors and carriers; Ability to coordinate strategic planning for FTL and LTL’s; Develop tracking tools and measures to support freight logistics and cost effective trending; Perform other duties as deemed necessary. Requirements and Skills High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year college or university preferred; 2+ years in transportation or logistics environment preferred; Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; Experience with automated systems, preferred; Ability to identify problems/concerns; Interested and capable in solving problems and driven to execute; Very strong communication skills, internal and external to Armada; Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask; Great time management skills to prioritize workload/schedules appropriately; Demonstrated effective team player; Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.; Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; Must be able to wear any required PPE such as scrubs, hair net, lab coat, facemask, and safety glasses; Ability to work in a packaging area with a moderate powder substance in the air with or without a respirator; Ability to work above shoulders; Other physical requirements include frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and bi‑lateral wrist movement; Ability to work around a variety of different smells and aromas; Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours; Work environment is normally in an office setting; Must be able to make frequent rounds in a warehouse environment; Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
