Pony.ai went public at NASDAQ in November 2024.ResponsibilityCollaborated with cross-functional teams to design safe, smooth, and socially aware autonomous vehicle behaviors for complex passenger interactions like pick-up, drop-off, intent understanding under high sensory noise and uncertainty.Transformed open-ended real-world traffic scenarios into defined engineering frameworks; developed end-to-end solutions spanning algorithm design, evaluation tools, massive-scale data pipelines, and real-time on-vehicle deployment.RequirementsBS in Computer Science, ML, Robotics, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experienceGeneral software engineering experience, proficient in at least one mainstream programming language (such as C, C++, Python, or Java) and familiar with common data structures and algorithms.PreferredMS in Computer Science, ML Robotics, similar technical field of studyGeneral software engineering experience solving motion planning or related robotics problemsBuilding or evaluating ML-based systemsCompensation and BenefitsBase Salary Range: $120,000 - $200,000 AnnuallyCompensation may vary outside of this range depending on many factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
