Shift Schedule Friday - Monday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm with $1 shift differential Tuesday – Saturday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm Job Summary The Med Care Manager/QMAP administers, records, and documents all prescribed medications under the direction of the Wellness Director, following State Medication Administration Regulations. Order medications from the pharmacy at least 7 days before depletion and notify the Wellness Director within 24 hours if supplies are missing. Document all administered medications in the resident’s medical record immediately after use. Observe and report nurse reactions and side effects of medication. Take and record vital signs prior to administering medications that could affect them. Administer PRN medications per physician order. Report any medication errors immediately to the Wellness Director. Assist with development and review of the resident’s care plan with other disciplines. Ensure residents’ privacy, respect, and dignity. Detect, correct, and report unsafe conditions that could harm residents. Assure physical comfort, safety, and mental well‑being of residents. Assist with daily personal care tasks such as toileting, grooming, bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, hair and nail care, transferring residents, and responding to calls. Job Qualifications Demonstrated core values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect. Required certifications: State‑approved Medication Administration training, First Aid certification (as required by ALF regulations), and QMAP in Colorado. Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Prefer prior experience in healthcare, assisted living, or memory care with a strong work record. Experience: Minimum three years in senior living settings, with experience administering medication in an assisted living community. Continuing education: Attend monthly in‑service education and training as required by law. Communication skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, follow oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate in English. Judgment: Ability to recognize symptoms indicative of resident health changes and work with licensed nurses without exceeding scope of practice. Knowledge: Medication administration procedures, universal precautions, and infection control. Team eligibility: Team members scheduled 24+ hours per week are eligible for benefits.
