Job Summary:
Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric Floor Norfolk, VA. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in a hospital setting. The position requires collaboration with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care across various pediatric medical and surgical conditions, including endocrine disorders, general surgeries, respiratory issues, and complex chronic conditions.

Job Details:

• Certification in Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required, along with a valid RN license and a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• The role involves working a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week, including some weekends and holidays.
• Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in pediatric or relevant clinical settings.
• Support areas include general pediatric, neuroscience, hematology/oncology, in-patient rehabilitation, and other pediatric specialty units.
• Clinical procedures may include glucose management with or without continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), implanted insulin pump care, oxygen therapy including high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), stable tracheostomies, various IV infusions, wound care, and respiratory support.
• Candidates should be comfortable working with various lines and equipment such as drains, epidural pumps, feeding tubes, PICC/Central Lines, and wound vacs.
• No float rotation is required for this position.
• Submission of current flu vaccination documentation is mandatory for those submitted to the organizations orders.
