Salary Range: $50000 to $60000 Annually

Position summary: The responsibilities for the Sales and Marketing Administrative Assistant are to support the daily sales/marketing activities to Morse customers in the Industrial and Construction Supply markets as well as selected projects dealing with Canadian customers. More specifically, this individual will be responsible for a wide variety of projects ranging from daily correspondence with sales representatives and customers to sales analysis.

Purpose: To assist The M. K. Morse Company in increasing sales, market share and brand recognition.

Essential functions - The essential functions of the individual would include those assumed for a sales administrative assistant position and include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide administrative and operational support to Sales Divisions to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Communicate directly with sales representatives and customers, offering timely support and responses to questions/requests.
• Coordinate sales support activities relating to the North American sales representatives and customers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain a variety of sales-related contact lists and informational agency documents.
• Manage administrative tasks related to setting up new rep agencies, including but not limited to; onboarding, contracts, and resignations/terminations.
• Provide rep agencies with monthly electronic commission statements and support the Finance Department with incentive/commission calculations.
• Administrative duties associated with new Morse direct sales employees.
• Assist with year-end account movement.
• Monitor economic and industry trends within target markets to improve planning and forecasting.
• Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, guide marketing and sales initiatives, and track performance.
• Analyze end-user insights to understand customer segments, behaviors, and pain points - uncovering opportunities to reduce friction and improve conversion.
• Collaborate with product managers to review product performance vs. plan, including incremental and replacement sales.
• Maintain ongoing competitive intelligence - including tracking competitor products, positioning, and strategies to inform go-to-market actions.
• Leverage digital analytics tools (including AI) to measure and optimize performance across website, social, search, email, and paid media channels. Provide actionable recommendations to enhance usability and conversion.
• Evaluate promotions and marketing tactics to identify opportunities for improved effectiveness.
• Utilize third-party databases (e.g., D&B Hoovers) to identify targets and support market segmentation.
• Provide phone coverage and general administrative assistance to support departmental needs as needed.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Skills and experience:

• Thorough understanding of the inner workings of a sales department.
• Firsthand experience in dealing with the above essential functions as well as direct personal contact with sales representatives and customers.
• 3-5 years of experience in sales support activities.
• Some experience working with independent sales reps is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong writing skills.
• Superior math and communication skills in conjunction with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
• Experienced in Excel is a must, also proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Power Point.
• High energy level with can do attitude, with an outlook of confidence and determination to succeed.

Education Requirements: High School preferred.
