Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN)

The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. This position involves both direct patient care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective treatment. This role requires adherence to facility policies and an understanding of the unique needs of patients in the interventional radiology setting.

Key responsibilities include administering medications and monitoring patient vital signs before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures, assisting radiologists and other healthcare professionals during procedures, educating patients and their families regarding procedures, post-operative care, and recovery, maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and procedures, participating in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications include a current RN license in the state of practice, minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in interventional radiology or similar specialty, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The Registered Nurse is expected to work in accordance with facility policy, which includes rotating weekend shifts and holiday assignments with hospital employees.

Scrub color codes are as follows: RN - Navy Blue, Clinical Support - Caribbean Blue, Radiology - Black, Lab - Khaki, RT - Grey, Surgical Staff - Ciel Blue.

This position may require travel to multiple locations within the region.
