Responsibilities

- Assemble, integrate, and analyze complete instrument systems according to precise production requirements
- Conduct functional and release testing using established instructions for moderately complex instruments
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or software issues; identify root causes and implement solutions based on pass/fail data
- Optimize system performance, including movement and light systems, using data-driven insights
- Identify defects, recommend design/process improvements, and escalate issues as required
- Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and adherence to workmanship standards
- Train and mentor associates on assembly and testing best practices
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards (GMP, BD policies)
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing teams
- Perform material handling, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Adapt to frequent assignment changes and meet production deadlines

Required Skills and Experience

- AA degree in mechatronics/relevant field or 3 years' hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting
- Proficiency with mechanical tools (torque drivers, gauges, bits)
- Strong analytical and math skills
- Ability to read/interpret technical drawings and measure dimensions accurately
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices
- Basic PC and Windows environment skills
- Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Safety shoes and reliable transportation required (not accessible via public transit)

Preferred Skills

- Background in medical device assembly/testing
- Proven leadership, mentoring, or training experience
