What You’ll Do
- Perform code-compliant welding on vessels and piping using SMAW, GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and/or FCAW processes.
- Follow approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)and applicable ASME/welding codes.
- Weld pipe in multiple positions, including 6G .
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings .
- Perform cutting, grinding, fitting, and other fabrication tasks as needed.
- Produce welds that meet visual, radiographic (RT), and ultrasonic (UT) inspection standards .
- Complete and maintain required weld and quality-control documentation .
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements .
- Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work area.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven pipe welding experience in an industrial, fabrication, or oil & gas environment.
- Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys .
- Strong understanding of welding processes, procedures, and applicable codes.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols.
- Ability to pass an ASME 6G pipe welding test .
- Experience producing welds that can pass visual and NDE inspections.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Safety-minded with a solid understanding of OSHA requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as project needs require.
