Palliative Care Physician - Clements University Hospital

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine is seeking a Palliative Care Physician to support the growth of our long-established, multi-disciplinary academic palliative care program. The responsibilities of the position include attending on the palliative care admitting service, inpatient consultation service and the ambulatory care practice. Responsibilities also include supervising and instructing palliative care fellows and other trainees, supervising APP’s, and participating in the clinical, educational, and research activities of the Service. The position requires an M.D./D.O. degree from an LCME-approved medical school or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency program from an ACGME-accredited program is preferred; however, primary training in other specialties may be considered. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Candidate must also be eligible for Texas medical licensure.UT Southwestern ranks among the top academic medical centers in the world. The multidisciplinary Palliative Care services include dedicated support staff, including APP’s, social workers, chaplains, clinical psychologists, nursing staff and pharmacy support.
