About the Position

Job Title: Electrophysiology Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Electrophysiology Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, RCIS, RCES required Must-Have: - Pass Fail EKG exam required for all applicants regardless of specialty. - Experience in arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, insertion/programming of AICDs, left atrial appendage, and pacemaker insertion. - Experience in cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and conduction studies preferred. Description: The Electrophysiology Specialist provides direct patient care within the electrophysiology lab and related areas. They support high-quality, safe, culturally competent, and cost-effective patient care through comprehensive assessment and strategic planning. This role involves diligent evaluation, medication administration, and timely intervention to contribute to positive patient outcomes. The specialist assists with diagnostic and interventional procedures by ensuring strict asepsis and responding promptly in emergencies. They prepare specialty electrophysiology equipment for accurate and reliable procedures. The specialist completes control room duties, utilizing knowledge of monitoring systems for comprehensive patient condition assessment. They ensure efficient data management and resource availability for seamless workflows. Effective and safe care is prioritized during elective and emergency procedures to promote quality outcomes. Continuous care is provided in related areas, with cross-training in multiple departments to support efficient operations. The specialist collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure inclusive and patient-centered care. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
