Clubhouse General Manager

The Clubhouse General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Doral, FL, responsible for overseeing daily operations of the clubhouse and associated amenities, staff supervision, resident service, and the development of fitness classes, wellness programs, activities, and events. This role manages staff schedules, service personnel, supervises front desk, pool area, event rooms, coordination of spa services, and ensures that clubhouse facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming. The General Manager coordinates events, resident activities, and rentals, manages vendor relationships, and monitors inventory and maintenance needs. The position also handles resident and guest inquiries, resolves service issues, and upholds community rules and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include basic budgeting and reporting, supporting marketing efforts for clubhouse programs, and consistently delivering a high level of customer service to residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clubhouse operations, including the gym, front desk, pool area, event rooms, and coordination of spa services.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise clubhouse staff, ensuring reliable coverage during operating hours, including weekends.
• Recruit and coordinate qualified personal trainers, group fitness instructors, and activity providers.
• Develop and deliver a monthly calendar of fitness classes, wellness programs, social activities, and community events for different ages and interests.
• Promote programs through resident communications, newsletters, social media, and clubhouse announcements.
• Manage event-rooms reservations and coordinate private events, vendor access, setup, cleanup, and compliance with the clubhouse rules.
• Recruit appropriately licensed massage therapists and other qualified spa professionals. Coordinate onboarding, appointment scheduling, service offerings, and the resident experience.
• Identify and evaluate potential juice bar operators, present recommendations to ownership. and coordinate the approved operators launch.
• Supervise cleaning standards and coordinate equipment servicing, facility maintenance, and repairs with vendors.
• Manage staffing costs, supplies, and operating expenses within the approved budget.
• Respond promptly and professional to resident questions, concerns, and feedback.
• Track participation, program revenue and expenses, staffing coverage, and resident satisfaction, and provide regular reports ro ownership.
• Maintain consistent operating procedures, safety practices, and service standards throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in a residential clubhouse, fitness facility, private club, resort, recreation center, or comparable hospitality setting.
• Demonstrated experience supervising employees, managing schedules, and controlling operating expenses.
• Experience developing and coordinating fitness classes, wellness programs, social activities, or community events.
• Ability to recruit instructors, therapists, vendors, and operating partners.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and resident-service skills.
• A practical, proactive approach to solving problems and following through on commitments.
• Familiarity with scheduling, reservation, fitness-management, or membership software, along with standard office applications.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes some evenings, weekends, and events.
• English proficiency required; Spanish proficiency preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing spa services and coordinating licensed therapists.
• Experience helping launch a new service or selecting a food-and-beverage operating partner.
• Experience with resident communications, social media, and program promotion.
• Degree in hospitality, recreation, business, exercise science, or a related field; equivalent practical experience welcomed.
• Current CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain it.
