6th Grade 8th Grade Social Worker | Westfield, Massachusetts

A school-based Social Worker is needed to support students ranging from 5th through 9th grade in Westfield, MA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work directly with students and staff within a supportive educational environment.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling and support services to students in grades 5-9
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs
• Conduct assessments and facilitate referrals to appropriate resources
• Promote social and emotional development and create a positive school climate
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all interactions and services provided

Required Qualifications:

• Licensed Social Worker with relevant education and credentials
• Experience working with middle school-aged students (grades 5-9)
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Knowledge of community resources and referral procedures
