About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: Up to 26 weeks upon request via interview. Regular contracts available for 13 weeks. Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; 3+ years recent experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers. License: Active RRT License required; pending applications accepted. Certifications: RRT, BLS, PALS required prior to start. Must-Have: Strong pediatric experience preferred. Description: This position supports respiratory care in the NICU. Candidates must have a DC RRT License or a pending application. Experience in a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center or similar facility is preferred. Staffing will be organized around 3 or 4 shifts per week, with weekend coverage required every other weekend. Float between NICU, PICU, and CICU may be necessary. Time-off policy allows a maximum of 3 shifts off for 13-week contracts and 8 shifts for 26-week contracts. Taking a full week off necessitates adding an additional week to the contract. Modules are non-billable and require completion prior to orientation. No license or background issues are allowed.
