About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization Technologist Profession: Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Imaging Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 hours Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM Experience: 2-3 years of Cath Lab experience with impella, telemetry, and IABP. License: MA RT(R) License required. Certifications: ACLS required, BLS required, RCIS preferred. Must-Have: Ability to independently read telemetry strips and pass tele exam on the first day with 85% or better. Description: The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist performs functions related to hemodynamic and imaging operations in the Cardiology department under the direction of a Cardiologist. This position requires performing all duties related to cardiac catheterizations. The technologist records hemodynamic monitoring and maintains proficiency through continuing education. This role includes assisting with the radiologic operations of the cardiac catheterization laboratory. Performs quality control standards by utilizing optimum diagnostic imaging. Engages in simple troubleshooting for equipment and requests service as needed. Completes documentation for the catheter lab procedures. Carries out daily calibration and maintenance of essential equipment. Assists in preparing cardiology patients for invasive procedures. Responsible for taking evening and weekend calls for emergency procedures. Maintains confidentiality and security of all related data and information. Adheres to all relevant hospital policies and procedures. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and team members.
