Product Design Engineer

The Product Design Engineer will support the development of product designs and engineering documentation using SolidWorks and assist in creating accurate 3D models and technical drawings while learning design for manufacturing principles and contributing to speed-to-market initiatives. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain 3D CAD models and assemblies in SolidWorks. Generate 2D engineering drawings with dimensions and manufacturing requirements. Update and revise existing CAD models and drawings as directed. Support design reviews and engineering projects through accurate documentation and data management. Assist with product development activities from concept through production. Apply basic design for manufacturing principles in plastic packaging and related products. Participate in prototype evaluations, testing, and design improvements. Maintain CAD file organization, naming conventions, and revision control. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to support project objectives. Prepare technical presentations and project documentation using Microsoft Office tools. Education / Experience Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Design, or related field. 0–2 years of CAD design experience (internships or co-op experience acceptable). Basic proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software. Familiarity with engineering drawings and dimensioning principles. Strong attention to detail, collaborative, team player and willingness to learn. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
