Multifamily Turnover Maintenance Specialist

Job Description

A local Albany company is adding a skilled professional to keep properties in top shape and turn recently vacated apartments into move‑in ready homes.

What a day looks like

Start at 7:30 AM with your project list in hand. You might begin by walking a recently vacated unit, mapping out paint touch‑ups, repairs, and a deep clean. Mid‑morning could bring a light carpentry fix or a quick sanitation task before heading outdoors to handle landscaping or snow removal, depending on the season. In the afternoon, you coordinate with outside contractors and skilled trades on a larger building project, operate powered tools safely to knock out priority items, and wrap up by confirming deadlines with teammates so the unit turns on schedule. You’ll finish at 4:00 PM feeling accomplished and ready for tomorrow’s list.

Core responsibilities

General upkeep of buildings and properties
Full apartment turnovers: painting, cleaning, repairs, and move‑in prep
Light construction, sanitation, and basic mechanical tasks
Grounds care, including landscaping and snow removal
Safe operation of powered equipment and tools
Partnering with outside contractors and vendors on larger projects
Collaborating with trades professionals to meet deadlines

Compensation & Schedule

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20 – $22 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

What you bring

Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
Previous experience in facilities maintenance, construction, landscaping, or groundskeeping (required)
Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems (a plus)
Clear communication skills and the ability to manage project lists
Mechanical aptitude; confident using powered tools and equipment
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (required)
