Installation Manager (Western Environmental Liner)

The Installation Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, execution, and success of Western Liner installation operations. This position provides direct supervision, coaching, and development of Installation Crew Leaders and is accountable for ensuring installation projects, including multimillion-dollar commercial, agricultural, and industrial liner installations, are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with Company quality standards and customer expectations. Regular travel to customer locations throughout the United States is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Employee Development Directly supervise, coach, mentor, and develop Installation Crew Leaders. Establish clear performance expectations and hold Crew Leaders accountable for safety, productivity, quality, attendance, customer service, and employee development. Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, disciplinary actions, and recognition programs. Develop leadership capabilities within Crew Leaders and identify succession planning opportunities. Partner with Human Resources to recruit, interview, onboard, and train installation personnel. Foster a servant leadership culture by supporting Crew Leaders and field employees through coaching, communication, collaboration, and timely problem-solving. Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Project & Installation Operations Plan, organize, and oversee all installation operations to ensure projects are completed correctly, safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Manage multiple concurrent installation projects with combined values reaching several million dollars. Coordinate installation schedules with Production, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Sales to maximize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Allocate labor, equipment, vehicles, materials, and resources based on project priorities and business needs. Monitor project progress and proactively resolve operational issues that may impact schedules, budgets, quality, or customer satisfaction. Ensure all installations comply with Company standards, engineering specifications, customer requirements, and contractual obligations. Conduct routine field visits to evaluate project execution, coach Crew Leaders, and identify opportunities for improvement. Assist installation teams in the field when operational needs require leadership support. Project Management Provide overall project leadership from pre-installation planning through final completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, labor plans, equipment schedules, and resource forecasts. Monitor project budgets, labor utilization, travel expenses, equipment costs, and overall project profitability. Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays, cost overruns, and operational disruptions. Coordinate project changes, schedule adjustments, and customer requests while maintaining operational efficiency. Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and performance metrics. Ensure installation teams have the personnel, equipment, materials, training, and logistical support necessary for successful project execution. Customer Relations Serve as the primary operational contact for installation-related issues. Maintain professional relationships with customers throughout project execution. Address customer concerns promptly and work collaboratively to resolve issues. Conduct final project reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project completion. Quality Control & Project Standards Establish, implement, and maintain quality control standards for all installation activities to ensure work meets Company expectations, customer specifications, engineering requirements, and contractual obligations. Ensure Installation Crew Leaders and field teams understand and consistently follow installation procedures, quality standards, and project requirements. Conduct job site inspections and quality audits to evaluate workmanship, installation methods, materials, and overall project execution. Identify quality concerns, installation deficiencies, and potential risks early and implement corrective actions to prevent rework, delays, and customer dissatisfaction. Partner with Production, Engineering, Sales, and Operations teams to resolve quality issues and improve installation processes. Review project documentation, inspection records, completion reports, and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives that increase consistency, reduce errors, minimize rework, and improve customer satisfaction. Hold Installation Crew Leaders accountable for maintaining high standards of workmanship, documentation, and compliance throughout the installation process. Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts related to installation defects, customer complaints, warranty concerns, or operational failures. Promote a culture where quality ownership is embraced by all installation employees and where teams take pride in delivering reliable, professional results. Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce Western AG's commitment to workplace safety. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, Company safety policies, customer-specific safety requirements, and all applicable regulations. Conduct field safety inspections, audits, and job site evaluations. Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage while implementing corrective actions. Ensure installation employees maintain required certifications, licenses, and safety training. Lead by example by consistently demonstrating safe work practices. Operational Excellence Develop and implement standardized installation procedures and best practices. Analyze productivity, labor utilization, travel efficiency, and project costs. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, quality, and safety while reducing unnecessary costs. Develop, monitor, and report departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Assist Executive Leadership with budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and capital equipment recommendations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in installation, engineering, construction, manufacturing, industrial services, or related operations. Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience managing supervisors, Crew Leaders, or multiple field teams. Demonstrated experience managing large-scale industrial or commercial installation projects. Strong project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management experience. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to travel extensively as business needs require. Preferred Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or equivalent project management certification preferred. Candidates without certification should demonstrate substantial project management experience and may be required to obtain certification. Experience managing multimillion-dollar installation or construction projects. Experience leading traveling installation crews across multiple job sites. OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification. Experience with ERP systems, project scheduling software. Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly walk active manufacturing facilities and construction job sites. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work on uneven terrain. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to travel frequently, including occasional overnight travel. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
