The White Horse Inn is one of Michigan's oldest and most iconic restaurants, welcoming guests to the heart of Metamora since 1850. Originally a stagecoach stop, the property has evolved into a cherished landmark blending history and modern dining. Following a major restoration in 2014, the inn now features a design honoring Metamora's equestrian traditions while offering handcrafted cocktails, thoughtfully prepared cuisine, private events, weddings, and exceptional hospitality. Known for its historic charm and commitment to guest experience, The White Horse Inn continues to be a destination for dining and celebrations alike. Role Description The White Horse Inn is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team full-time. This is an on-site leadership role responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations while helping maintain the high standards of service our guests have come to expect. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment and enjoys coaching, mentoring, and developing staff. This individual will lead by example, support team members, ensure excellent guest experiences, and help create a positive and professional workplace culture. Responsibilities Leading daily restaurant operations Coaching, mentoring, and training staff Ensuring exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction Supporting team performance and accountability Addressing guest concerns with professionalism and care Communicating effectively with staff and management Qualifications Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Calm and professional under pressure in a high‑volume environment Passion for hospitality and guest service Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing team members Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed Compensation Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
