About the Role:

Schaeflen Management LLC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join their growing team in Abington, PA! Responsibilities:

Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures including fillings, extractions, and cleanings

Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patient visits

Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed by the dentist

Greet patients, review medical histories, and ensure patient comfort throughout appointments

Record treatment information and update patient charts accurately in dental practice management software

Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed

Educate patients on post-treatment care and proper oral hygiene practices

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification or vocational training preferred

Prior experience as a dental assistant is a plus but not required — we welcome motivated new graduates

Familiarity with dental terminology, instruments, and chairside assisting techniques

Radiology certification or willingness to obtain one as required by Pennsylvania state regulations

Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, patient-centered approach

Ability to multitask, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records is a bonus
