26-27 Speech Language Pathologist School of Dreams Academy – Los Lunas, New Mexico Job ID: 3871351 Application Deadline: Oct 31, 2026 11:59 PM (Mountain Standard Time) Re-Posted: May 07, 2026 6:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Immediately Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders; Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association; New Mexico License in Speech‑Language Pathology from the New Mexico Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Board; New Mexico License issued by the PED Ancillary and Support Services. Skills and Abilities Knowledge of NM State and Federal laws governing Special Education and adherence to those laws; Maintain professional confidentiality and work collaboratively with peers; Work with District personnel and the general public in a professional manner. Essential Responsibilities Organize and conduct identification program, i.e., screening and student assessments; Coordinate student’s therapy/treatment schedules with teaching staff and other related service providers; Refer students to other related service providers and teachers if necessary; Evaluate and interpret speech and language testing and make recommendations to aid in the educational planning for students with service needs; Provide direct and/or consultative services in individual, small, or large group settings; Maintain professional competence through participation in in‑service activities provided by the District and/or other professional growth activities; Serve as case manager for students who receive speech‑language services and may participate in Student Assistant Teams (SAT) committee meetings; Perform Response to Intervention (RtI) tasks and provide recommendations for RtI tasks; Evaluate speech and language delays and disorders, including selection, administration, and interpretation of appropriate evaluation materials and results; Analyze and interpret findings for use in diagnosis and recommendations and report findings, both verbally and in writing, to appropriate personnel, students, and parents; Follow Federal, State and District guidelines and criteria for eligibility and service delivery; Plan and implement the clinical program, which includes but is not limited to managing a caseload, developing therapy schedules for students, developing measurable goals, modifying educational materials, and developing rapport with teachers to facilitate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and evaluating student progress; Write evaluation reports, progress reports, and maintain records including Medicaid filing for eligible students; Participate in intra‑school planning and communications through attending monthly meetings of the District speech‑language pathologists; Perform other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
