Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Maintenance Electrician is to be a great Nucor team member who demonstrates high levels of honesty, integrity, and ownership in everything they do. Additionally, the selected candidate must demonstrate the ability to diagnose, repair, or replace components within complex electrical control systems.This includes having the necessary skills to navigate PLC programs, drive configurations, and industrial communication networks throughout the troubleshooting process.The Maintenance Electrical Technician will work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime.[[cust_safetyState]]

Minimum Qualifications:

Fundamental understanding of electrical theory

Experience troubleshooting low voltage (<600VAC) motors and controllers.

Experience troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, process control devices, and VFDs. 3+ years experience in industrial or military electrical maintenance.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, Nucor Steel Brandenburg will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

2-year or 4-year degree in electrical or related field. Experience maintaining overhead cranes. Exposure to electrical substation equipmentandmaintenance practices.
