Day Surgery Patient Population: Preoperative and Post Anesthesia Phase II Discharge Patient Ratios: Pre-op and Post-op 1:1, Phase II 1:3 Number of Beds: 27 beds Department Specifics: Getting patients ready for their surgery/procedure (IR), need excellent IV skills, patient teaching/education, providing patients and family with pre/post op instructions, work well in high stress and fast paced environment, self-motivated during low census, flexible with availability and assignments. Registered Nurse Requirements Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program 2 YEARS OF RN CHARGE EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED 1 YEAR OF DAY SURGERY EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED License/Certification RN - Registered Nurse BLS - Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire) PALS- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
