Quality Assurance Inspector

Quality Inspector IResponsible for first articles, verifying, and inspecting printed circuit assemblies. Reports to the Team Leader, Supervisor and/or Quality Manager.Duties and Task StatementsAbility to open and navigate the Synergy.Read the Bill of Materials, Assembly Instructions and other documentation necessary before starting the process.Machine Checks with trainer approval.Perform less difficult first articles with trainer approval.Begin inspecting less difficult assemblies with trainer re-inspecting for accuracy.PTH line verification with trainer approval.Willingness to adjust schedule to meet customer needs.Inspection DutiesPerform PTH line verification.Perform less difficult first articles.Transport trays/racks of printed circuit assemblies to or from the department to ensure an efficient process.Understand terminology used in work instructions.Additional tasks may be assigned by the Supervisor, Team Leader or Quality Manager.Perform general housekeeping duties to provide an organized and safe working environment at all times.Regular attendance by the employee is required to meet quality goals and customer commitments.Computer Copier Microscope Halo Light Scale CaliperIsopropyl alcohol Tweezers Arrows Cotton swabs Ink pad Ascentron Rework Tags Inspection stamps ESD smock Static wrist and foot straps Exacto knifeFormal Interaction with OthersInteracts with all staff members within the department as well as other outside personnel. Has daily contact with production operators and engineering. Communicates with the Team Leader, Supervisor and/or Quality Manager to obtain instructions.Work EnvironmentThe work setting consists of a production environment with suitable lighting, a moderate to high noise level, and comfortable temperatures. The work schedule consists of a five day, 40-hour work week with overtime dependent upon department needs.Minimum QualificationsExperience Should have some manufacturing or electronics experience.Education A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additionally, the employee must successfully complete all internal courses offered by the company necessary to do the job.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The employee must have excellent vision including the ability to distinguish between colors and varying shades of color, and the ability to read screen-printing symbols and component values. Employee must be able to read and write in English and be able to comprehend technical data. This position requires mathematical skills at a level slightly above basic math. Must be able to sit and perform stationary work for the majority of the shift. May be required to lift 40lbs periodically. Must be able to work independently and safely at all times.
