Registered Nurse (RN)

A reputable trauma center is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join their Emergency Department (ED) team. This facility features 48 beds, with the capability to flex up to 62 beds using hall beds as needed. The department maintains a commitment to safe staffing ratios, never exceeding a 1:4 ratio for regular ED patients and offering specific ratios for progressive and medical holds.

Shift Requirements

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
Mid shifts available (15:00 - 03:30)
Charge nurse responsibilities required
Floating to different areas within the hospital or nearby affiliate facilities is mandatory

Patient Care Environment

Progressive holds: 4:1 ratio
Medical holds: 5:1 ratio

Qualifications

ACLS, BCLS, PALS certifications are required
Preferred certifications: NIH Stroke Scale, TNCC
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an emergency department setting
Experience with level 2 trauma patients is essential

Skillset Requirements

Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Phlebotomy and starting IVs
Administration of continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
Procedural sedation administration
Management of CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patients
Adherence to isolation precautions
