Maintenance Technician II

Job TitleTo maintain a clean and orderly appearance for all Treasure Island property. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.Pay Rate: $23.50 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on swing and grave shiftEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain a neat and clean appearance for the entire propertyEmpty outdoor trash cans and ashtraysRemove trash from parking lots and sidewalksMaintain and inspect interior and exterior of all buildingsMaintain grounds including, but not limited to, mowing, sweeping, raking and laying sodPerform snow shoveling, plowing and removalComplete work orders in a timely mannerMove office equipment and furniture as requestedMaintain all tools and equipmentPerform light carpentry and plumbing repairsPerform Event Center air wall and bleacher setup and maintenanceKnowledge and Certification, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge and Certification Required:Previous experience in the safe use and operation of power and hand tools and the likeValid driver's licensePrevious experience in lawn maintenance, snow removal and the likeSkills Required:Accurate and detail-orientedHighly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesAbility to use hand and power tools in a safe mannerLight carpentry skillsStrong mechanical aptitudeProven knowledge of heating/cooling systems and water treatmentAbilities Required:Ability to work fast and efficientlyAbility to independently complete multiple tasks in a professional mannerAbility to troubleshoot, maintain and repair specialized equipmentAbility to maintain high confidentialityAbility to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygieneRequired TrainingTreasure Island guest service trainingBloodborne Pathogens trainingAny position-related training as determined by department managerAbility to obtain CPO CertificationPhysical DemandsMust be able to walk and/or stand for long periods of timeMust have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneelMust be able to push, pull and grasp objects regularlyMust be able to climb a ladderMust be able to independently lift 25+ pounds routinelyMust have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate tools and equipmentMust have good eye hand coordinationMust be able to operate foot pedalsWorking EnvironmentWork is performed throughout the entire property (inside and outdoors) and may include excessive noise, such as power tools, dust and fumes from paints, varnishes, stains and the like, flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smokeRequired to work in extreme weather such as wet, damp, high wind, ice and snowMust be able to work in cramped, tight quartersOccasionally overtime may be requiredMust be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidaysEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
