Truck Detailer

Primary responsibility is to capture high-quality photographic documentation of trucks and equipment. Secondary responsibilities include assisting with washing, cleaning, and detailing trucks and equipment to maintain a professional appearance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Take high quality picture documentation of trucks and equipment.
• Wash and detail interior and exterior of trucks and equipment.
• The ability to safely move trucks in and out of the shop and around the yard to their designated area.
• Communicate with supervisor to prioritize demand and tasks.
• Use and maintain all necessary shop and personal equipment required to complete any tasks.
• Keep shop area and yard neat, clean & organized.
• Must have a working knowledge and understanding of safety requirements and practice them.
• Must refer to MSDS when using any chemicals, substances, and materials, understanding the MSDS information, and abiding by MSDS required personal protective equipment. Must wear gloves, safety glasses and other PPE for all tasks requiring their use.
• Must work with and for all departments in harmony.
• Other duties assigned as needed

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Valid driver's license (CDL is a bonus)

• The ability to operate a high-pressure washing system and other detailing tools.
• The ability to operate in a fast-paced work environment.
• The ability to safely drive large trucks and equipment through the yard.
• The ability to properly work and operate a smart device to take picture documentation, text, call & email.
• The ability to recognize defects, deficiencies & issues while washing and picturing trucks and equipment

Operation of light and heavy duty trucks and equipment for driving purposes.

Detail / washing experience.

Use of smart device to communicate, operate & complete tasks

Ability to read and interpret documents. Must also possess the ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.

Highly detail oriented and organized in work. Acceptable written and oral communication skills. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a customer service focus with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving and results. Must have initiative and the ability act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives. Must possess a strong desire to learn.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is required to walk; to climb stairs and ladders, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee is regularly required to move about the facility. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds. The employee is required to seek assistance in the lifting of more than 100 pounds or use a crane or hoists. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Often exposed to outdoor weather conditions, moving equipment, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
