We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic RN Educator to join our team at Chestnut Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Oneonta, NY. As a valued member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare by providing education to new employees, clinical competency training and evaluation of nursing staff, and implementing education programs for Certified Nursing Assistants. About Us At Chestnut Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, our mission is excellence. We are a beautiful modern 80-bed sub-acute rehabilitation and nursing facility nestled in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains along the banks of the Susquehanna River. Our picturesque grounds and home-like atmosphere make us the perfect setting to rest or recuperate while receiving superior care and services. With a commitment to consistently delivering the greatest level of customer satisfaction, we pride ourselves on being a trusted provider of short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care. Responsibilities and Duties: Provide general orientation to all new employees Conduct clinical competency training and evaluation of nursing staff Coordinate guest educators for programs, such as IVs and Respiratory Implement education programs for Certified Nursing Assistants per the education calendar In-service education of all employees as needed Qualifications and Skills: Enthusiasm and eagerness to teach Clinical competency with basic nursing care Ability to work independently and anticipate educational need Eagerness to learn new skills and participate in our Train the Trainer programs Requirements/Qualifications: 2-year experience in Long-term care Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse CPR certified What We Offer: Train the Trainer program for NYS DOH Certified Nursing Assistant program Training for education initiatives Ongoing training programs Opportunity to advance with your career
