Software DeveloperThis position is onsite in Huntsville AL at Redstone Arsenal: $3,000 Relocation Assistance Software Developer We are seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that support mission-critical data, analytics, and operational systems. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, data professionals, DevOps, and UX designers to deliver secure, high-performing applications in a modern, cloud-enabled environment. This position is open to mid-level and senior developers, with responsibilities and scope aligned to experience level.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting data and analytics-driven objectivesBuild and enhance backend services, APIs, and data-centric applicationsContribute to full-stack development efforts, including front-end UI components and backend logicIntegrate applications with relational databases and data pipelinesDevelop and consume RESTful web services and APIsParticipate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality and securityCollaborate with DevOps teams on containerization, deployment automation, and cloud infrastructureSupport application troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system optimizationFollow secure coding practices and comply with applicable security and compliance requirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Experience developing software in one or more of the following languages: Java C# /.NET PythonExperience working with modern JavaScript frameworks such as: Vue.js Angular TypeScriptExperience working with relational databases such as: PostgreSQL OracleFamiliarity with RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecturesExperience working in Linux and/or Windows environmentsAbility to work on-site in Huntsville, ALPreferred / Desired SkillsExperience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot,.NET Core, or similarContainerization and orchestration experience: Docker Kubernetes (preferred)Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub)Experience with data and analytics technologies, including: Apache Spark Kafka Elasticsearch / OpenSearch Apache NiFi SolrExposure to GIS technologies (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS, GeoServer) is a plusFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologiesExperience Level GuidelinesMid-Level 6 years of software development experience Strong contributor on development tasks with some exposure to design activities Senior-Level 8+ years of software development experience Experience leading technical design, mentoring junior developers, and owning components or services
