In this role, you will support electrical equipment reliability and energy reduction initiatives through hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and project work. You will use predictive tools, develop and refine preventative maintenance plans, and analyze equipment failures to drive root cause solutions. The position includes leading installation work, maintaining and repairing electrical systems, documenting activities, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You will also manage parts, write job plans, support new equipment implementation, and maintain a safe, organized work environment.Your TeamYou will be part of a collaborative maintenance and engineering team focused on improving equipment performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. The team works closely with engineering, quality, and production partners to support installation projects, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high safety and compliance standards. Together, you will contribute to continuous improvement efforts, share technical expertise, and support a high-performing, team-oriented manufacturing environment.What We Offer From Day OneMedical, Dental and Vision coverage160 hours of Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays401K matchEmployee Stock Purchase ProgramPaid Parental LeaveTuition ReimbursementWhat You'll Be DoingDirectly supports electrical equipment reliability and energy reduction activities through innovative thinking, team membership and completion of assigned projectsExpand opportunities to use measurement and predictive tools to assess equipment condition prior to failurePreventative Maintenance generation and or refinement of existing PMsAnalyze machine failures for root cause and recommend corrective actionsMonitor parts spending and reliability trendsResearch and design electrical equipment for the electrical department, engineering, and project leaders as neededProactively manage maintenance jobs and project workInstallation support – act as lead technician on floor, directing others as well as personally installing various sizes and types of conduit, junction boxes, and other components required for machine and equipment electrical supply circuitsWork in the electronic/electrical shop to repair and maintain plant equipment sparesCall out issues to the Maintenance Supervision for work which does not appear to be valid, feasible or has cost constraints, or requires engineering design/change controlFactory acceptance testing – works with engineer and quality to accept new equipment. Must be willing to travel with overnight stays for factory acceptance and trainingDocuments all maintenance and repairs in Maximo and other required systems per SOP.Maintains proficiency in all Corporate Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, National Electrical Codes, EPA, and North Cove Electrical Standards relating to safety, GMP, ISOtrain, maintenance, and electrical installation.Responsible for generating orders for equipment, parts, consumables, tooling, raw materials, etc to maintain all systems in good working condition.Proficient in MR, CWR, and other equipment related documentation as applicable to the area.Will be trained to generate EMRs related to assigned workWrite job plans and standard work for repairs, troubleshooting, and situation driven response plans.May serve as a Subject Matter Expert for maintenance related SOPs, standard work, or training modules.Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality or discrepancy issues occurSustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principlesLearn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)This position involves working around moving equipmentCan include working in a Class I, Class II, Class III or Class IV Controlled Environment which may include the following dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, ear plugs, hairnet, beard cover, isolation mask, gown, hood, boots or shoe covers, face shield, insulated gloves and disposable glovesWhat You'll BringHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalentMinimum 4 years electrical distribution experience in an industrial manufacturing environmentAssociates degree in an electrical/technical related subject areaMust have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team membersUnderstand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawingsMust be able to perform basic mathematicsBasic computer skills requiredWell organizedSelf-motivated to achieve goals and require little supervisionAbility to develop a concept from general requirementsMust be a teammate, organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritizeSkilled in organizing, overseeing, and optimally monitor processes and projectsMust have good communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with various Administrative Personnel, Supervisors, and outside vendorsThe position requires the ability to individually lift and carry up to 50 poundsMust be able to bend/stoop, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, twist and bend at the neck, twist and bend at the waist and balanceNormal visual acuity is necessary including the ability to distinguish colors.Applicants must be authorized to work for an employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $52,800 - $72,600 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
