Pharmacy Services Representative - Phone Agent

$17 - $34.15 per hour

Working Hours Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., no weekends, limited holidays. Covered parking on-site. Responsibilities Interact directly with customers to answer questions, solve problems, and provide education, upholding the company’s reputation for high-quality service. Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls to patients, clients, and other customers, proactively gathering patient and order information. Maintain a working knowledge of insurance and healthcare reimbursement requirements for dispensing, processing new referrals, and providing customer education. Conduct routine assessment and problem identification, escalating issues to a pharmacist as appropriate. Work independently and self-directed, demonstrating strong attention to detail and performance-driven focus. Provide empathy, patience, and conflict resolution with confused or irate customers. Required Qualifications Comfortable in a multitasking, high-energy environment. Customer service orientation and ability to adapt/respond professionally. High volume phone contact handling and verbal communication skills, including active listening. Ability to capture necessary information while toggling between multiple computer applications. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Problem-solving skills, conflict resolution, and ability to think under pressure. Use of empathy and patience when dealing with confused or irate customers. Attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Six months experience handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone. Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions. Education High School Diploma or equivalent. Pharmacy Technician license/certificate based on specific assigned duties and State pharmacy requirements. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $34.15 per hour. The actual base salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
