Job Title: Travel Stepdown/PCU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description: Join the dedicated cardiac care team at UofL Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY! We are seeking a skilled Stepdown/Intermediate Care RN for a 16-bed Cardiac PCU. This is an excellent opportunity to work with high-acuity cardiac patients in a supportive environment. First-time travelers are welcome to apply!

Contract Details:

• Start Date: 08/17/2026
• Shift: Nights
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend rotation; holidays based on unit needs. No on-call required.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent stepdown/PCU experience, specifically with post-op open-heart and structural heart patients.
• Certifications: Active BLS and NIHSS required (ACLS preferred).
• Clinical Competencies: Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach and chest tube management, PIV starts, and experience with Primacor, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, and Heparin drips.
• Radius & Eligibility Policy: Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility (driver's license required for verification). Former permanent employees of this facility are not eligible for this contract.

Unit Highlights:

• Patient Population: Specializes in post-op CABG, valve surgeries, dysrhythmias, and post-Cath Lab care.
• Ratio: 1:5 patient ratio.
• EMR: Cerner.
• Attire: Galaxy Blue scrubs. Free parking provided on-site.
