Job Summary

Under the supervision of nursing staff, the Clinical Technician is responsible for monitoring and providing direct care to patients undergoing hemodialysis. This role involves working as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and effective treatment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients during dialysis and communicate observations to the team.
• Provide direct patient care under nursing supervision.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Reinforce patient education and document care activities.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures.
• Perform technical tasks such as cannulation, machine setup, and disinfection.
• Administer saline, heparin, or other medications as prescribed under supervision.
• Assist with blood drawing procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Participate in process improvement and adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Complete required training and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.

Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stretching.

• Must pass a color vision test and respond to audible alarms.
