The pharmacy is currently open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. As we continue to grow, operating hours may adjust or expand beyond our current schedule to support business needs.Who We Hope To FindWe are looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our incredible Affirming Care Pharmacy team in Los Angeles. Reporting to our Pharmacist-in-Charge, the Registered Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for preparing, filling, dispensing, shipping and checking prescription medications to our patients. Your work will directly support reducing health disparities and expanding access to care within diverse populations, including those in the LGBTQ2IA+ community. If you're a licensed tech who genuinely enjoys connecting with patients and wants to work somewhere that makes a difference, we highly encourage you to apply!In This Role, You'll Make An Impact ByDriving Patient Outreach & EngagementOwning high-volume outbound calls and texts to reach patients at key points in their care journey (new prescriptions, refill follow-ups, lapsed patients)Providing exceptional patient support across all communication channels: phone, SMS, email, and secure messagingNavigating insurance challenges with patients and proactively identifying solutionsMaintaining consistent follow-up until contact is made and next steps are confirmedSupporting Prescription & Pharmacy OperationsCreating and updating patient profiles and maintaining internal pharmacy databasesExecuting the end-to-end prescription process: preparing, filling, labelling, dispensing, packaging, and shippingVerifying prescription information is complete and accurate prior to processingEnsuring accuracy and safety by performing final checks on new and refill prescriptions, confirming each step in the dispensing process has been completed correctlyMaintaining an efficient, safe, and tidy dispensaryEnsuring every request is processed accurately and in accordance with Board of Pharmacy regulationsWe Need Someone Who HasA license as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (in good standing) with the California State Board of Pharmacy1+ years of experience in community/retail as a Registered Pharmacy TechnicianFlexibility to work different shifts, including potentially weekends and eveningsKnowledge and efficiency of all aspects of pharmacy software (data entry, billing, report generating, and troubleshooting)A positive attitude, a strong sense of urgency and a team player mentalityEnjoyment in performing a variety of tasks daily and a fast-paced work environmentThe ability to set priorities and manage time effectively, and is detail orientedActive listening and strong communication skills (written and verbal)It Would Also Be Great If You HaveExperience working in a mail-order pharmacyExperience working within the 340B programExperience working with PioneerRxFluency in SpanishCompensation$45,000 - $52,000 USD a year (equivalent to $21.63-$25.00 per hour)Earn stock options through our Equity Incentive Plan—connect your efforts to PurposeMed's growth as we work together to improve the lives of our patients across North America.The compensation listed above refers to a yearly base salary that may vary depending on a candidate's relevant qualifications, knowledge, competencies and work experience, and other factors including market conditions.
