About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: 2 years strongly preferred License: South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license Certifications: BLS, Clienttion Badge Must-Have: - Scrub experience strongly preferred - Flexibility to float within scope to meet facility needs Description: The position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. Shifts will consist of three 12-hour days, from 06:30 to 19:00. Call rotation includes up to 4 call shifts per month. Schedule will be as needed, including one weekend shift each month. Weekend coverage will require working up to one weekend shift every four weeks. Travelers will be required to work at least one holiday period. The role involves working in a busy operating room within a level-one trauma center. The facility has 21 operating room suites covering all surgical specialties. The nursing team consists of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists. Registered Nurses are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures. The department is nurse-driven and utilizes cutting-edge technology. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. This position requires a commitment to patient care and collaboration within the surgical team. All required documentation must be completed before the start date.
