Position Type: Employee (Full Time) Position Summary We are currently hiring a Medical Assistant/Certified Phlebotomy Technician (National Certified Phlebotomy Technician) to work in our Bronx-based family medicine practice at Bella Vista Health Center. Individuals must have a Medical Assistant Certificate/Training Program Completed and a National Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification to qualify. You will support our Bronx-based family health center where we provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages. Key Duties Process blood draws, collect specimens, and process lab orders. Prepare examination rooms and equipment. Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately record in medical records. Complete referrals and discharge patients. Assist providers and nurses during all aspects of exams. Assist provider with treatments. Schedule appointments, verify insurance and demographic information. Starting Compensation Minimum: $23.00/hour; Maximum: $23.00/hour; Additional $1,500/annum in differential pay. Work Environment and Schedule Onsite in the Bronx, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Minimum Qualifications Medical Assistant Certificate/Training School and National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT). Bilingual Spanish/English is REQUIRED. High School Diploma or GED required. Computer literacy. Training in phlebotomy and patient vitals. Responsible individual who genuinely wants to support our patients.
