Associate Director Labs - Bioanalytical LCMS Research and Development

Associate Director leading bioanalytical LCMS research and development laboratory operations at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Richmond, Virginia. Supervises scientific staff, manages resource planning, directs process improvements, and oversees client engagement and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise group leaders, scientists, and medical technologists; manage scheduling and resource allocation
- Plan and implement laboratory process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality
- Review data for technical quality and compliance; lead client and regulatory audits
- Interact with clients on proposals, scope definition, and project negotiations
- Manage revenue projections, timesheet reviews, and resource utilization reporting
Requirements
- 10+ years relevant laboratory or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years in management or supervisory responsibility
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills
- Knowledge of ICH guidelines, USP requirements, and FDA guidance
- Technical troubleshooting and analytical instrumentation expertise
- Budget management and fiscal forecasting experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
