Squeeze Massage, is looking for an experienced Studio General Manager to lead our San Mateo location. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys coaching teams, driving membership and sales growth, and creating an exceptional guest experience. 

Salary: $70,000-$80,000 + bonus potential 

Schedule: Full-time; Wednesday- Sunday availability required

Job Summary
Squeeze is seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager to lead our studio operations with enthusiasm and strategic vision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily shop activities, drive sales growth, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your leadership will inspire teams, optimize operational efficiency, and foster a positive studio environment. The ideal candidate is a motivated leader with strong management skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the success of our shop while delivering outstanding experiences to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day studio operations and team performance
• Drive membership, retail and overall studio revenue
• Recruit, onboard, coach and retain a high-performing team
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience
• Build schedules and ensure appropriate staffing
• Manage payroll/timekeeping, inventory and operational controls
• Partner on local marketing and community relationships
• Address team and guest concerns promptly and professionally

About You

• You are an experienced, business-savvy and people-oriented General Manager with 3+ years working in high-volume retail service businesses.
• You prioritize over-the-top, first-class guest service as well as driving a bottom line.
• You create a motivational environment where your team is passionate about delivering an amazing guest experience, each and every time.
• Words that describe your management style include: entrepreneurial, analytical, coach, empathetic.
• You have a hospitality orientation, are gracious and patient, and warm in nature with strong communication skills.

Experience

• 3+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced hospitality, wellness, fitness, retail, spa, or service business preferred. 
• Proven track record in building consistent, recurring retail business, and delivering an exceptional guest experience
• Experienced in operating a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Experience leading and developing a sizable front-line team.
• Advanced expertise in recruiting, onboarding, and developing a team
• Inventory management and scheduling expertise
• Must be available to work Wednesday-Sunday weekly
• Proven track record in building consistent, recurring retail business, and delivering an exceptional guest experience
