With four procedure rooms, the center provides high-quality, cost-effective outpatient surgical and procedural care primarily for GI and Endoscopies.Owned and operated in partnership with BSMH and Gastro Health, Eastgate Surgery Center combines advanced technology with compassionate, patient-centered care in a convenient setting.Role SummaryThe Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the cleaning, high-level disinfection, maintenance, and inventory control of endoscopic instruments, equipment, and reusable medical supplies in accordance with nationally recognized standards, regulatory requirements, and center policies to support safe, high-quality patient care.HoursMonday- Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PMWhat You'll DoPerform cleaning, inspection, and high-level disinfection of endoscopic instruments and equipmentDemonstrate knowledge of reprocessing equipment and proper use within the processing areaUse, monitor, and document chemical disinfectants according to policy and manufacturer guidelinesFollow established protocols for decontaminating, cleaning, flushing, and disinfecting endoscopic equipmentInspect instruments and equipment for functionality and integrityTrack loaned instruments and equipment to ensure completeness and timely returnMaintain accurate documentation related to reprocessing and chemical monitoringAssist in maintaining inventory of endoscopy supplies and equipmentFollow all safety, infection control, and regulatory requirementsPerform other duties as assignedWhat You'll BringHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredKnowledge of endoscopy reprocessing and high-level disinfection standards required.Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate recordsStrong attention to detail and commitment to patient safetyPrior healthcare, endoscopy, or sterile processing experience preferredPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, and patient-care activitiesAbility to lift/move up to 30 lbs (occasionally up to 40 lbs; rarely up to 100 lbs)Regular interaction with patients of varying ages in a fast-paced clinical environmentExposure to bloodborne pathogens, and chemical hazards consistent with the surgical settingCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly rate (based on experience and qualifications)Healthcare benefits package401(k) with company matchPaid Time Off (PTO)Supportive, collaborative, and growing environment
