Registered Nurse RN - Med Tele Acute Care

 Work Schedule: 3 days per week, 7p-7a/Rotating Weekends

Advance your clinical practice at HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress as a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) or Telemetry (Med-Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) , where you will provide a vital level of comprehensive acute care within our newly expanded, 217-licensed-bed general acute care hospital . Practice at the peak of your license inside a facility reinforced by elite state and national clinical designations, including an official Texas DSHS Trauma Level III Center designation, a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center , an accredited Chest Pain Center , and an accredited Bariatric Center of Excellence . Operating across our state-of-the-art floors—including our brand-new, 31-bed Medical-Surgical Unit inside the $100M North Patient Tower—you will administer an advanced level of multi-system care. To support this progressive service line, our department delivers specialized, high-acuity interventions for diverse patient populations, spanning complex gastrointestinal, orthopedic, neurological, pulmonary, and acute cardiac conditions . Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will be responsible for coordinating the nursing care of assigned patients in the Unit in order to provide quality patient care.
• You will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the appropriate age populations.
• You will provide professional nursing care exercising independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
• You will provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
• American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
• 1-year of clinical Med Surg experience as a licensed RN in a hospital setting required
