The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the accounting department and providing support for data entry, filing, and essential financial duties. You are expected to deliver high-quality support and maintain operational excellence by demonstrating the following qualities:Performs accounts payable transactions into accounting software systemPrepare and post General Journal entriesOpen and distribute mail to appropriate C.O.R.E. Office team membersMaintain filing systems while accurately filing various accounting reports, vendor invoices, etc. dailyPerform data entry for vendor transactions into accounting software systemMake bank deposits and run other errands as neededGenerate reports as requested by the accounting departmentMaintain office equipment and orders office supplies as neededProvide protection to confidential company information such as financialsOther duties as assignedHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum two (2) years' experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting experiencePC literate, including Microsoft Office with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft ExcelAbility to quickly learn software systems such as ABC, QuickBooks, and various other products.Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and swift data entries with organizationIndependent, adaptable, and eager to take initiative on new tasks and projectsStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsMust hold a valid NM driver's licenseMust be able to sit for extended periodsMust be able to lift and carry approximately 25 poundsMust be able to perform the following tasks: walk, squat, crouch, stoop, stand, listen, read and writePaid Time Off/Sick LeaveGym Membership (full access to our gym facilities at no cost to team members)Staff Pass Memberships (complementary membership for family & friends)Discounted Personal Training SessionsComprehensive medical, dental and vision plansLife / AD&D InsuranceLong-term disabilityPet InsuranceThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties that will be performed by the team member occupying this position.
