Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Cardiac Care Nurses!

Job Description:


- Shift: 8-hour days, Monday to Friday, 0630-1500 + call
- Location: Home base in Bryan, TX, with assignments in College Station
- Unit Overview:
- Float between two campuses with 4 cath labs (primarily run 3 rooms)
- Experience varying case loads with a minimum of 5-7 cases per day and up to 15 cases on busy days
- Participate in EP cases including ICDs, Pacemakers, and Ablations
- No specials/IR procedures; separate area for those cases
- Cardiac, Peripheral, Neuro, and Traumatic embolization patient care

- Team Structure:
- Work alongside a dynamic team of circulating RNs, scrub techs, and monitors on every case
- Engage in cross-training for monitoring cases with a GE MacLab/Combo Lab Hemodynamic Monitoring System
- Provide expert care while circulating and scrubbing cases

- Call Requirements:
- Approximately 10-11 days of call per month, including one weekend
- Smooth onboarding with three days of orientation
- Progressively take on call responsibilities, building confidence with experience

- Key Qualifications:
- Must have ACLS, BLS Certification, and NIHSS
- Cannot have prior employment with the facility in the past year

- Additional Details:
- Cancellation policy allows the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments
- Charting system: MEDITECH
- 40 guaranteed hours per week in an exciting and lively college town atmosphere
