Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in Springfield, IL, 62703. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our facility operates smoothly and efficiently. If you have a passion for maintenance and a knack for problem-solving, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Conduct repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve facility operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
