Special Education Teacher

Special Education Teacher Up to $40-50/hour | Conyers, GA | Full-Time Hours | 2026-2027 School Year | Full-time contract position supporting students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative, structured school environment. Position Details: Caseload within Rockdale County Public Schools Full Time - Starting July 2026 1.0 FTE, M-F What You’ll Do Provide specialized, IEP-driven instruction across academic, behavioral, and functional domains Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with student IEP goals and individual needs Assess student progress and maintain accurate data, reports, and compliance documentation Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to support access to the general curriculum Create and maintain a structured, supportive learning environment that promotes positive behavior Support students with daily living skills, including toileting, feeding, mobility, and health-related needs as required Ensure compliance with state and district guidelines for IEP development, timelines, and implementation What We’re Looking For Hold appropriate teaching certification in Special Education Must have already passed the GACE test in Special Ed Curriculum Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from an accredited institution Strong communication and collaboration skills School-based experience preferred, not required Benefits Competitive pay (Up to $40-50/hour) + steady school-year schedule W-2 employment with liability insurance included; Healthcare benefits and 401(k) with company match Reimbursement for licensure, CEUs, and professional expenses Mileage reimbursement between sites + referral bonuses #J-18808-Ljbffr
