Position Summary As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. Responsibilities Serve as Team Leader: supervise the produce and floral team to deliver on the business plan and contribute to overall club success, communicate department goals, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for the member, associate, and company. Be an Expert: maintain in‑depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations, ensure the produce area meets quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance standards; manage seasonality, item volume, product knowledge, processes; prioritize time between areas; collaborate with associates, provide resources, knowledge, and training. Be a Techie: leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, product quality, and encourage adoption. Be an Owner: drive business results, commit to operational excellence, plan profitability, maintain a neat, clean, safe work area; ensure adequate staffing, accurate audit and compliance standards, produce and display merchandise per layout plan, and model a commitment to member service. Be a Talent Ambassador: train the team, identify potential, develop necessary skills, encourage career growth, and source new talent internally or externally. Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; analyze data, monitor progress, and address improvement opportunities. Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity; advise and support management; assist with correcting issues. Lead and participate in teams; share resources, information, and tools; assess customer needs and priorities; coordinate work assignments; provide support to ensure timely, high‑quality results; model change adaptation. Qualifications 6 months experience working in a fresh production department or supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising a team.
