Permanent Physician - Hospitalist
Position Type: Permanent
Specialty: Physician - Hospitalist
Location: Syracuse, NY
Shift: 7-on/7-off schedule, 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult inpatient population
Setting: Hospital setting providing inpatient care with ICU involvement
Responsibilities: Provide overnight inpatient care, admissions, patient management, history & physical exams, ICU rounding on hospitalist patients, documentation, coordination with subspecialists, and discharge planning
Required Procedures: Admissions, inpatient management, ICU rounding, patient evaluation and care coordination
EMR System: EPIC
Support Staff: Multidisciplinary team with strong subspecialty backup
Days Per Month: 7-on/7-off schedule
On-Call/Weekends: No separate call; weekends included in rotation
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine - Required
- NY Medical License or willingness to obtain - Required
- NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) - Required
- Clean malpractice and license history - Highly Preferred
