Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Home Health Physical Therapist

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Provide home health physical therapy services to patients of all ages in Morehead City, NC. Plan, implement and evaluate individualized plans of care, document progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic procedures, safe use of assistive devices, and home exercise programs. Perform assessments for neuromuscular, neurological, and orthopedic conditions and order or adapt durable medical equipment as needed. Follow infection control and safety procedures. Travel locally and maintain flexibility to meet patient needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state license as a Physical Therapist required (NC license required to start assignment).
• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA-approved program required.
• Proof of current CPR certification required.
• Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance required.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in acute care or rehabilitation required.
• Ability to perform prolonged standing, walking, heavy lifting, bending, pushing and pulling required.
• Must read, write, and speak fluent English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous home care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of durable medical equipment preferred.

Assignment Details

• Travel locally as needed to meet patient scheduling requirements.
• Works with interdisciplinary team and performs in-home patient visits.
