Job Title: Registered Nurse - Client Child Health Profession: RN Specialty: NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring Must-Have: Post Partum experience Description: The Registered Nurse in Client Child Health is responsible for the provision of direct patient care to a designated group of patients. This position will work collaboratively with unit leadership to follow the scope of practice for nursing governing bodies that apply to Client Child Health. Responsibilities include observation, data collection, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs. The RN will assess patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. The RN must quickly recognize normal parameters, deviations, and abnormalities in physical, emotional, developmental, and behavioral status based on past clinical experience. A person-centered care approach will be used in the development of care plans and in prioritizing nursing care to meet patient and family needs. The RN will plan for care of patients, demonstrating the ability to effectively prioritize both expected and unanticipated needs. Patients and families will be involved in establishing care goals. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking skills by making appropriate clinical decisions and proactively addressing potential and actual problems. Competence in the implementation of the technical skills required for the care of patients and families must be demonstrated. The RN will show initiative in remaining current on policies, procedures, and standards. The RN acts as a resource to peers. Interventions for the attainment of care goals will reflect resourceful involvement of health team members. The RN will facilitate the linking of patients and families with other disciplines and services as needed. Post Partum experience is required as the traveler will staff Post Partum often.
