Quality Manager(Food Manufacturing)

• 5+ years food safety or quality assurance experience in food manufacturing
• Experience in USDA FSIS or FDA‐regulated operations

Lead food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, sanitation oversight, and continuous improvement in a USDA/FDA‐regulated food manufacturing facility. This is a plant leadership role requiring audit readiness, deviation investigation, and cross‐functional collaboration with operations, sanitation, maintenance, and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and improve food safety and quality management systems
• Serve as SQF Practitioner or site SQF leader
• Prepare for and manage regulatory, customer, and third‐party audits
• Maintain HACCP plans, food safety plans, SOPs, SSOPs, and compliance records
• Oversee quality controls for ready‐to‐eat and ready‐to‐cook products
• Manage supplier approval, risk assessments, and corrective actions
• Investigate deviations, complaints, and regulatory observations with root‐cause analysis and CAPA
• Lead recall readiness, mock recalls, and traceability exercises
• Recruit, train, and coach Quality team members
• Provide food safety training to production and sanitation staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, biology, chemistry, or related field
• Internal auditor, food defense, or food fraud training
• 5+ years food safety or quality assurance experience in food manufacturing
• Experience in USDA FSIS or FDA‐regulated operations
• HACCP and FSMA preventive controls knowledge
• Audit preparation and corrective action experience
• Supervisory or cross‐functional leadership experience
• Strong communication, organization, and recordkeeping skills
• HACCP certification, SQF Practitioner experience
• Experience with RTE/RTC foods, sanitation verification, environmental monitoring, and high‐pressure processing
